Q   What educational facilities are available in the RAHC building in Harlingen?
A   The RAHC facility in Harlingen contains a library, conference rooms and classrooms of varied sizes, simulation labs, specialized facilities for clinical competency testing, an auditorium, a computer classroom, and offices for educational administration and student support services such as academic record-keeping, counseling, financial aid, and the like.

Q   Will RAHC facilities be available for use by other health professionals and students in the community?
A   The UT Health Science Center San Antonio-RAHC may be used by outside organizations with the joint sponsorship of a Health Science Center department.  To inquire about use of UT Health Science Center San Antonio-RAHC facilities, please contact the office of RAHC Administrative Services and Student Services at (956) 365-8760 or e-mail RAHCAdminServ@uthscsa.edu.
       

Q  What type of services does the library offer UT Health Science Center San Antonio students, faculty and staff?
A  All faculty, staff and students of the UT Health Science Center San Antonio have access to a wide variety of library services, including: Books, journals & AV materials , Library Computer Access , OVID at no charge, Other locally and remotely licensed databases, Online search service (fee), Interlibrary loan (fee), Study room reservations, Article delivery service (fee), Proxy Borrower

 Q  Can area Health Care Professionals sign up for privileges at the library?
A  Yes, any doctor, dentist, nurse or other licensed health care practitioner living or practicing in Cameron, Hidalgo, Starr, and Willacy Counties may register with the Library as an area health care professional and have access to a wide variety of services including:  Books, OVID (remote access for $100 annually), Interlibrary loan (no rushes), Online search service (fee), Article delivery service (fee), Proxy Borrowers


Q  Can Med Share Faculty request privileges at the RAHC library?
A  Yes, Faculty members at many San Antonio colleges and universities and all state university system faculty may register for Library privileges. You are entitled to a variety of privileges, including:  Books & Journals, OVID (remote access for $100 annually), Online search service (fee), Article delivery service (fee)
